Western Cape Bass Fishing
The Western Cape was the first area in South Africa to see bass introduced in 1927 when the first largemouth bass fingerlings were imported to the country. Smallmouth bass were introduced 10 years later, their descendants have thrived and expanded. For bass fishing fans this is great news with some world class bass angling to be had within easy reach of Cape Town. The Western Cape is blessed with some excellent lake and river fishing for largemouth bass, with arguably the best smallmouth bass fishing in the country to be found in the region.
