Some of us poorer relatives otherwise known as "floaters" do not have boats so we sit half in the water looking like an alien top water lure as we waft around trying to hook the elusive fish we seek.
So my question is Where in your honest and sober opinion would be the best place to increase my chances of losing a body part to a flat dog?

I would say that south of the Tugela you might be pretty safe.North however I would be wary of a swimming pool coz of the amount of flatdogs.

I hear you, I have heard numerous stories of crocs (not the shoe type) in dams around here, have even seen the spoor/ tail drag marks in places at Inanda... I 'spose we pretty much take a chance in any water..

I have seen some massive Leguan at Inanda 2m plus but never a crocs.
There is a croc at Nagle but will not see you as prey as it is about 1.5-2m long. The local canoe club guys are always in the water. No missing limbs yet :blue-biggrin:

I thought as much, have heard of the croc at nagle, haven't seen it yet... I was also told there was one or two at Alberts? not sure how true that is either, was just curious to hear from the guys that are out and about at some of these waters.

dont joke ........... i do that already ;-). Pack my bakkie with all fishing gear, arrive at fishing destination, unpack bakkie, set up inflatable ( including trolling motor and battery) pack all tackle into inflatable ........and do all in reverse at the end of the day.
but love it ......... :blue-biggrin:
